Rolando López Dirube

(La Habana, Cuba, 1928 – San Juan, P.R., 1997) Sculptor. He studied in the faculties of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Havana, Cuba. He continued his studies at the Art Students League and Brooklyn Museum Art School in New York, under the supervision of Gabor Peterdi, George and Max Bekman Gras. Expanding his academic training at the National School of Graphic Arts and the School of Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. He served as professor of analysis design, painting and sculpture from the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico, Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, the Art League of San Juan and the University of the Sacred Heart.
