Natividad Gutierrez was born in 1940 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She studied at the University of Puerto Rico, as well as the Royal Academy of San Fernando, in Madrid. She has exhibited her work at the Salón de Artistas Grabadores in 1968 and 1969 in Madrid. She has also participated at exhibitions in London, Yugoslavia, and Cuba.
She has been known as the "master of engraving" of Madrid, where she currently lives and works.
