Edival Ramosa

Edival Ramosa was born in Brazil in 1940. He visited many European cities until settling in Milan from 1964 to 1974, where he frequented the studios of Arnaldo Pomodoro, Lucio Fontana and Enrico Bajl. From 1969 to 1973, he worked at the Polimero Arte laboratories along with 49 other noted Italian and foreign artists including Baj and Man Ray, where they created art made from plastic material. These works are currently a permanent exhibit at the Museo Arte Plastica in the Castiglioni di Monteruzzo, Varese, opened in 2004. Ramosa has held many individual shows throughout Italy, his native Brazil and Australia. Upon his return to Brazil, he opened his studio in Rio de Janeiro. He has lived in Sao Paulo since 1980.
