Carlos Santiago

Carlos Santiago, (Peñuelas, P.R., 1978). He graduated from the Puerto Rico School of Plastic Arts in 2001 and was awarded the Arana Scholarship, which allowed him to live in Paris for a year. During his stay, he took classes at the Teophile Gautier institute, the De la Marie Fine Arts Workshop, and the Daniel Fisher Studio, in addition to working at the Alfonso Arana atelier and at his own atelier in Gambetta. He also joined the “Les Rats Du Champs” group, who travel yearly to the Alps to paint exclusively in watercolors. He has held several individual exhibitions in Puerto Rico and abroad. He has participated in collective exhibitions the United States, Canada, France, Peru, and Puerto Rico. In 2004 he participated in the UNESCO House in the Dominican Republic.
